Stones and Stories Workshop

Native Hawaiian choreographer Christopher K. Morgan incorporates stones in his new dance piece Pōhaku (the Hawaiian word for stone). For this workshop, Morgan will share stories about the role of stones in traditional Hawaiian culture and his own life. Workshop participants will gather stones according to traditional Hawaiian protocols and use them as inspiration to create short pieces incorporating storytelling, movement, and chanting. This workshop is open to participants of all ages, backgrounds and experiences, no movement experience necessary.

This workshop will meet at the PS21 Tent, kids under the age of 16 must be accompanies by an adult.
