PS21: Work in Progress
After ten seasons of performances under a saddlespan tent, PS21’s new permanent building is beginning construction. This new building will be a huge benefit to the community and increase our ability to serve both the performing artists and their audiences.
The building’s design by New Lebanon architect Evan Stoller provides a black box theater in an enclosed building, which opens up in the summer months to accommodate PS21’s annual summer performing arts festival. The team which has been working with the architect includes audio consultant David Kahn of Acoustic Distinction, theater design consultant Matt Welander, engineers Brandee Nelson and Nicholas Vamvas of Crawford and Associates Engineering, and Paul Winnie of Arcon Construction, Inc.
