Please join us on Friday, June 21 for PS21’s 2024 Gala!
Our pinnacle event of the season, the Gala spans the PS21 campus, featuring a cocktail fountain in the orchards, a farm-to-table dinner under the big tent, a silent auction, and a New Work Preview of Noli Timere by acclaimed choreographer Rebecca Lazier in our pavilion theater.
Noli Timere is a soaring aerial performance-installation—eight dancers moving within, on, under, and around Janet Echelman’s voluminous floating iridescent net sculpture, up to 25 feet in the air. Rebecca Lazier’s choreography, with an original score by cellist and composer Jorane, daringly synthesizes experimental dance, avant-garde circus, installation art, music, engineering, public sculpture, and social practice.
The bountiful, magical evening features local chefs, artisans, and makers:
Appetizers from Chatham’s farm-to-table restaurant Bimi’s Canteen
A negroni fountain from artist, alchemist, entrepreneur Arley Marks
Dinner from Hudson’s James Beard Award-nominated Swoon KitchenBar
An artistic handmade cake from Mamie Brougitte Cakes
Flowers by creator of enchanted worlds Fleurs Bella
Table rosettes by designer of magical clothing Samantha Pleet
All proceeds from the Gala allow PS21 to continue to provide everyone in our community affordable access to adventurous performing arts, to present our PATHWAYS series of free and low-cost community programming, and to keep our 100-acre campus maintained and open to the public every day.
Support PS21’s mission by purchasing tickets–or a table! Reserve by by June 1 and your name will appear in our Program. Under 45? Take advantage of our discount offer. If you can’t attend in person, consider purchasing tickets as gifts or making a donation.
