Brooklyn Youth Chorus work-in-progress viewing

On February 1st, PS21 Producers Circle members enjoyed a special work-in-progress viewing of (PORT)AL, a new work being developed by the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, in the Black Box Theater. Attendees heard from project creators Paola Prestini, Jad Abumrad, Dianne Berkun Menaker and Jessica Grindstaff, before seeing a 30-minute excerpt of the work. The piece will be premiered at the Brooklyn Navy Yard before coming to PS21 this June.

After the viewing, Producers Circle members and friends of the Brooklyn Youth Chorus convened at The Aviary in Kinderhook, for a private reception with drinks and hors d’oeuvres and a talk on the upcoming PS21 and Brooklyn Youth Chorus seasons.
