Made by renowned filmmaker Jonathan Demme at the peak of the Talking Heads’ trajectory, Stop Making Sense is considered by critics to be the greatest concert film of all time. Starring core band members David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison along with Bernie Worrell, Alex Weir, Steve Scales, Lynn Mabry and Edna Holt. The live performance was shot over the course of three nights at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater in December of 1983 and features the Talking Heads’ most memorable songs.
Dinner provided by yubakery (from the chefs of Colonia Verde), from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. See the menu here.
Curated by filmmaker Mirissa Neff (This is National Wake) in conjunction with PS21, the SundaySound film series showcases arthouse music films. Each event opens with a dj set featuring music inspired by that night’s film.
