Taking inspiration from nature, exaggerated both in scale and durable materials, Silda Wall Spitzer and Tim Jones’s Dandelions carries forward spontaneous drops of summer sun dancing into all the seasons, offering surprise and delight.
The collective design of these two artists both transforms and conforms with each landscape it lives in, and has particularly shined in the meadows of PS21 since the summer of 2023. Visitors can enjoy interacting with these drops of sun on their way to or from neighboring Crellin Park.
Materials: Fiberglass finished with translucent glossy coating of yellow and painted green steel rods.
The work was unveiled at PS21 as part of Upstate Art Weekend 2023.
