Kiki Valera y su Son Cubano

On July 7, Kiki Valera and his band Su Son Cubano brought their wonderful Cuban music to the PS21 stage. Kiki is a virtuoso of the cuatro, an eight-stringed Cuban guitar, and his chops were on full display. His band’s modern take on the traditional son cubano style of Cuban music had the PS21 audience on their feet and dancing. It was a glorious summer Sunday afternoon of music.
